How Jennifer Aniston’s LolaVie brand grew sales 40% with CTV ads

For its first CTV campaign, Jennifer Aniston’s DTC haircare brand LolaVie had a few non-negotiables. The campaign had to be simple. It had to demonstrate measurable impact. And it had to be full-funnel.

LolaVie used Roku Ads Manager to test and optimize creatives — reaching millions of potential customers at all stages of their purchase journeys. Roku Ads Manager helped the brand convey LolaVie’s playful voice while helping drive omnichannel sales across both ecommerce and retail touchpoints.

The campaign included an Action Ad overlay that let viewers shop directly from their TVs by clicking OK on their Roku remote. This guided them to the website to buy LolaVie products.

Who Trains the Accountant After AI Does the Homework?

You hire a junior accountant and give them software that handles the busywork. They finish faster. Everyone’s happy. Then the software gets something wrong. Can your new hire spot it? Matching transactions and chasing missing numbers were tedious, but that’s how accountants learned what didn’t look right.

AI can remove those tasks without replacing the practice they gave people. Firms need to build that practice into the job. Let juniors investigate errors, sit on client calls, and work through old cases with a senior. Ask how they reached an answer. “The software said so” won’t be much comfort when a client asks where their money went.

Big Four. 153 Misconduct Reports.

The Big Four get paid to spot problems in other companies. Now Australia’s regulator is sorting through 153 misconduct reports involving the firms themselves. Nearly a third came from potential whistleblowers. Separately, it’s reviewing more than 550 internal complaints collected from the firms.

You’d expect the next step to be investigating whatever turns up. But ASIC’s chair says many alleged poor practices fall outside its authority. It can oversee audits without having power over everything else these firms do. The reports aren’t proof of wrongdoing. They do raise an awkward question. Who handles a complaint when it lands outside the regulator’s lane?

Starbucks Can’t Copy-Paste America

A Starbucks on every corner feels like an American thing. Then you look at South Korea. It has more than three times as many locations as France, Germany, Italy, and Spain combined. All that coffee culture in Europe, and the green siren found a much bigger home in Korea.

But being famous everywhere doesn’t mean being wanted everywhere. Starbucks added nearly 800 stores in China over two years while Malaysia lost a third of its locations amid Gaza related boycotts. Opening the doors is the easy part. Giving people a reason to walk through them is the business.
