The Wednesday Lowdown ⬇️
If you're new around here, every day I share the 4-5 best accounting insights I saw in the past 24 hours.
I scroll. so you don't have to.
💎 WTF of the Day

Don't overlook the power of Google reviews
Many firms ignore their Google reviews but they’re one of the first things potential clients see and they matter more than most think.
81% of people read reviews before reaching out. 94% say a bad review has made them avoid a business. Businesses with 9 or more recent reviews earn 52% more revenue than average.
If you’re not asking happy clients to leave reviews or responding to bad ones you could be quietly losing leads.

💎 What’s poppin in accounting

IRS extends deadline for storm-hit Tennessee & Arkansas
Tornadoes and flooding tore through parts of Tennessee and Arkansas last month, so the IRS is giving victims more time. Affected taxpayers now have until July 15 to file returns, make payments, and handle other tax deadlines (like quarterly estimates and contributions).
This applies to individuals and businesses in FEMA designated disaster zones. No need to call the IRS, relief is automatic if your address is on file.
