💎 WTF of the Day

Intuit to Buy HR Platform GoCo
Intuit is buying GoCo, an HR and benefits platform for small and mid sized businesses. The plan? Fold it into QuickBooks Payroll so Intuit can go from handling your money to handling your entire team from hiring, onboarding, compliance, all of it. The deal is set to close by the end of fiscal 2025.
They didn’t say how much they paid or how much GoCo was making. But it’s clear this is about building a bigger moat. If you’re already using QuickBooks, now you’ve got one more reason to stay.

Trump tax reconciliation bill makes headway
Trump wants to make his 2017 tax cuts permanent and add new ones, like no taxes on tips, overtime, or Social Security income. The GOP is using budget reconciliation, a special process that lets them pass it with a simple majority and skip the usual Senate rules.
To justify the cost, they’re using a budget trick that assumes the 2017 tax cuts are already permanent. That makes it look like the new plan only adds $1.5 trillion to the debt. In reality, if you count everything, it could add up to $5.8 trillion by 2034.

Wrestlemania 41 broke every record wwe has
WrestleMania 41 took over Vegas for two nights, packed in 125,000 fans, and crowned John Cena as 17 time world champ with a surprise assist from Travis Scott. It wasn’t just chaos in the ring, it was chaos at the cash register too.
The event smashed revenue records. Merch flew off the shelves, online sales exploded, and viewership doubled from last year. Why? Because WWE is no longer just a wrestling company. It’s a content empire with a $5 billion Netflix deal and a live events division that's now pulling in hundreds of millions. The show might be scripted, but these numbers are very real.
