💎 WTF of the Day

FBI Accountant's Murder

This story is messy. Dawn Meade was an FBI forensic accountant, smart, tough, and trained to catch criminals. But in 2021, she became a victim herself. She was shot and killed in her own home, and her husband, Thomas Meade, was charged with murder.

Here’s where it gets crazier, Thomas claimed self-defense. The criminal trial? A complete circus, arguments, mistrial, and no conviction. Now he’s walking free.

But Dawn’s parents aren’t letting it slide. They’ve filed a wrongful death lawsuit, accusing Thomas of being a violent, controlling husband who killed their daughter. Civil court doesn’t need as much proof as criminal court, and they’re hoping to finally get answers and justice.
