💎 WTF of the Day

CohnReznick Just Took PE Money
CohnReznick, one of the biggest accounting firms in the U.S., just took a private equity investment from Apax Partners. That means big money is flowing into accounting again, and firms are looking to grow faster, adopt new tech, and expand services beyond just tax and audits.
But taking PE money usually means big changes, more pressure for growth, possible layoffs, and maybe even an eventual sale.
More accounting firms are ditching the old school partnership model for outside investors.

Farmers’ Tax Tips Before March 31
March 31 is the biggest tax deadline for farm businesses, and smart planning now can mean huge savings later. With tax rules tightening, here are some quick wins to cut your bill before the year end.
✅ Write off equipment purchases – Claim depreciation before new limits kick in.
✅ Use agricultural relief programs – Grants and subsidies can offset tax burdens.
✅ Prepay expenses – Buying feed, fertilizer, or supplies early can lower taxable income.
✅ Check VAT status – Some farm operations could reclaim thousands in VAT deductions.
Farm accounting isn’t just about keeping the lights on, it’s about keeping more cash in your pocket.

IMAX Is Betting 2025 Will Be Massive
IMAX is doubling down on theaters making a comeback in 2025. They’re throwing cash at more screens, exclusive formats, and blockbuster releases, hoping people actually leave their couches for the big screen.
And honestly? They might be onto something. Deadpool & Wolverine, Avatar 3, and a new Star Wars are all lined up. Theaters are trying to make movies feel like an event again. But here’s the real test, do people still care, or has Netflix killed the movie night forever?
