Why? Skyrocketing pension costs, pandemic revenue gaps, and bloated budgets. Chicago alone is $36 billion in the hole, and NYC isn’t much better. Some cities are raising taxes, slashing services, or kicking the can down the road.

Skype Is Finally Calling It Quits

After 22 years, Microsoft is officially shutting down Skype in favor of Teams. Once the go to for video calls, Skype lost its edge to Zoom, FaceTime, and yes, even Microsoft’s own product.

It’s the end of an era for anyone who remembers awkward job interviews, pixelated video calls, and that iconic ringtone. RIP to the OG of internet calls.
