RIP Excel? Why AI’s Coming for Your Spreadsheets by 2027

Spreadsheets are messy, manual, and break the second a formula goes wrong. But professional services still run on them , tracking utilization, forecasting revenue, and patching together insights with copy paste wizardry. That’s about to die.

AI tools now connect directly to your CRM, ERP, and PSA software. They suck in live data, predict project delays, flag bench time, and even ask “what if? all in real time. No more pivot tables. No more version 18_final_FINAL.xlsx.

83% of services leaders say they’re doubling down on AI. And for good reason: it’s faster, smarter, and actually explains what’s going on, and what to do next. By 2027, AI won’t just replace spreadsheets, it’ll be the brain running every service org that wants to stay in business.

New U.S. Accounting Rule Will Force Companies to Show Gov Grant Money

Starting in 2029, big companies will have to clearly show how much money or stuff (like buildings or equipment) they get from the government, and what they use it for.

Right now, some companies share this info, but there’s no official rule. The new rule is meant to make things more clear and help investors compare companies. Some people on the board don’t like it, though they think it’s still confusing and won’t really help much… yeah sure thats the reason.

 📊 Weekly Trend Chart

Fast food’s losing. Red Lobster’s back.

Americans used to see McDonald’s and friends as cheap and fast. Now? $15 for a combo meal doesn’t scream “value.” That’s why places like Olive Garden and Chili’s are booming, they feel like a better deal.

Even Red Lobster, fresh out of bankruptcy after nearly drowning in its “Endless Shrimp” deal, is bringing back its Crabfest promo. Casual dining chains are doubling down on better service, nicer vibes, and actual food. Meanwhile, fast food is raising prices and losing customers.
