💎 WTF of the Day

Deloitte is moving to Hudson Yards
Deloitte is packing up its North American headquarters and leaving 30 Rockefeller Plaza after decades. It's headed west to Hudson Yards, where it just signed an 800,000 square foot lease in the under construction 70 Hudson Yards tower. The move will consolidate two offices into one and put the firm in a brand-new building that opens in 2028.
The space is built for the future, fully electric, zero carbon, and loaded with extras like event spaces, a podcast studio, and private terraces. It’s not just a new address. It’s a statement about where Deloitte thinks the future of work is going.

💎 What’s poppin in accounting

U.S. firms are outsourcing accounting to India fast
There aren’t enough accountants in the US, so firms are turning to India. RSM US, Moss Adams, Sikich, and CohnReznick are all hiring aggressively there, picking up speed like it’s the 90s tech outsourcing boom all over again.
It is not just about cutting costs. Fewer students are choosing accounting, the workforce is aging, and AI is changing how the work gets done. India has the talent and the infrastructure, and it is quickly becoming the global center for accounting.

📊 Weekly Trend Chart

Horror is quietly crushing it at the box office this year
While superhero flicks fumble, horror is eating. Ryan Coogler’s original vampire thriller Sinners had a $48 million debut. That’s the best hold since Avatar in 2009. It’s already made $123 million domestically and is dragging the whole genre up with it.
Horror now accounts for 12.1 percent of all box office ticket sales in 2025, nearly hitting its pandemic-era high. More big titles are coming, including 28 Years Later.
The only risk? Studios are flooding the market, and too much horror might spook the fans away.
