Romeo Santos Says His Accountants Cost Him $2.3M

Romeo Santos (a huge Latin music star and former Aventura frontman) is suing his old accounting firm. He says the firm, now known as BDO, messed up his taxes and made bad money moves that cost him at least $2.3 million.
The biggest problem was his 2021 New York tax return. Santos says the firm treated him like he did not live in New York all year, even though his situation was more complicated. That helped trigger an audit. He also says the firm left too much cash sitting in a checking account earning nothing, bought duplicate insurance, kept him on a more expensive health plan, failed to fund his IRA, and took money from one of his accounts after being fired. That is a rough job review for the people hired to make the money less messy.

The IRS Failed Its Own Drug Test

The IRS is the agency that can ruin your day over one missing form. So this is funny in the worst way. A watchdog says the IRS did not do a great job running its own drug-testing program.
Some IRS workers have sensitive jobs. Those workers are supposed to be randomly drug tested each year. But the IRS missed parts of that process. In 2024, managers had five workers they suspected of drug use. None of them were tested. Investigators also got 78 drug-related reports about IRS workers from late 2022 to April 2025. Some cases went to the Justice Department, but prosecutors passed. Now the IRS says it will fix the system with better training and tracking. Which is perfect. The people who audit everyone else just got audited.

Weekly Trend Chart 📊
Everyone Is Worried About A Different War

This chart is the whole story in one picture. Ask people who poses the biggest threat to world peace, and the answer changes fast depending on where they live. Poland, Germany, Britain, and France mostly point to Russia. That is not surprising. Russia is close, the Ukraine war is still real, and Europe feels that threat directly.
But the more interesting part is Canada and Australia. They do not put Russia first. They put the United States first. And inside America, there is no clear villain. Americans split between Iran, Russia, China, Israel, and even the U.S. itself. That says something bigger than one survey. People are not just worried about war anymore. They are worried about power, instability, and whether their own allies can still be trusted.
